Even though this one is not quite finished yet, I can't help but share it. This particular character has been floating around my harddrive for quite some time now. Originally a sketch in my sketchbook dated 1996(!) and now on my third attempt at putting proper colors into the image. I've been putting this aside and returning to it between many other illustrations (in similar states of incompletion).

This image originated as just a tough guy holding a gun but it just seemed too cliche' and stale to me. So I erased the gun and substituted a teddy bear for no particular reason other than I thought it was funny. Friends who have seen this sketch have consistently praised it as one of their favorites and have continually poked and prodded for me to finish it one day. I'm kinda partial to the guy as well, so I've been doing my best to get it completed.

After agonizing for a long time over what type of environment to put him in, I've finally settled on something that I believe will work. I still have much work to do on this one but I have plans for the finished piece so it's not to be soon forgotten.
